It’s The Simple Things

Imagine you could freeze a perfect moment in time. Golden sunshine, the sand between your toes on your favourite beach that you’ve been visiting since you were a child. You already have wonderful memories of carefree childhood summers there, and now you’re adding to them by creating those same memories with your own children, sharing them with your parents, with whom time is more precious than ever. These are not just snapshots, they are reminders of moments like these when you realised that everything you ever wanted is already right there.

It was such a joy to photograph Sophie and her family this summer on Wonwell Beach, near Salcombe, where she’s been spending summers since she was a child. The light was golden, the children full of beans and her parents so deeply connected to their grandchildren that the love just shines out of every photo. What a privilege to capture these moments for the family to look back on and treasure forever.
