It breaks my heart that I don’t have any photos with my grandparents to show to my daughters, so I have a very special place in my heart for extended family sessions. This beautiful family gifted the grandparents with a photoshoot with all of their grandchildren in early September. They chose a stunning location on Dartmoor for the backdrop, just as the bracken was beginning to turn, and we had the most perfect golden evening, it truly felt like one of the last (and best) days of summer. The cousins had two wonderful hours playing, and exploring with each other and their grandparents, none of us wanted it to end. For the younger children it was their first time staying up for a summer sunset and hopefully the memory of this, surrounded by their grandparents and older cousins, is one they will always remember.
The overwhelming feeling that I get when I look through the photos is just how connected this family is, to each other and also to nature. It is such a privilege to be able to create a tangible memory of these connections and the beautiful evening spent together, that they can share and look back on for years to come.
