When you think of a newborn photoshoot, most people tend to imagine a white studio, babies posed on a nest of blankets and tired but glowing parents cradling their newest addition. Beautiful, serene, but also not the only way to do a newborn photoshoot, especially when older siblings are involved.
This wonderful family spend a lot of time outdoors, and being in nature is very important to them. Throw in two busy older siblings and the fact that we live a stone’s throw from the Flete Estate and it’s stunning beaches and you have all the perfect elements for an outdoor, beach-based newborn photoshoot. Being on the beach immediately took away a lot of the stress of how to manage the older siblings, who had a blast playing on the sand together, and resulted in some gorgeous photos of the two of them as well as their new little brother. It was all finished off with bacon sandwiches for breakfast on the beach once the photos were done, and hopefully the memory of the whole experience, not just the end product, will stay with the family for many years to come. Because your photoshoot should be about the whole experience. Time together as a family, uninterrupted by chores and mobile phones, the pictures at the end are really just the icing on the cake.
